Review by Emily Downey:
TFoA alternates between the perspectives of two best friends in the town of Aldea: Lydia, a determined young Fighter, and Daniel, a kind, boy-next-door Farmer. Unpredictable and exciting, it's an action-adventure fantasy existing in a unique world that no longer has electricity, but instead is home to a unique additional race of humans known as sorcerers. The author does an excellent job of introducing the world without dumping the information and history all at once. As a big fan of historical fiction, I really liked the setting because it's as if the world has gone back to a simpler time, yet on the other hand, the sorcerers rope in a whole other mysterious, fantastical aspect that is really exciting and raises the sense of danger for the main characters. It's not your typical fantasy novel. It deals with important themes of loyalty, family, sacrifice, and faith in your own strengths.
The plot is full of twists and turns I didn't see coming, and the main characters are likable and well-defined. It was a joy to read and I'm so excited for the rest of the trilogy, as well as for the movie series that is sure to sprout from these novels! If you haven't read this one yet, you're in for a treat! ★★★★★

I love, love, LOVE your book! I love it so much that I'm stuck on the edge of my seat until the next book comes out! Your writing is so spectacular, I haven't enjoyed a book like your's in a very, very long time!!! I am 13 years old, and I got a signed copy of The Fighter of Aldea for Christmas this year. I haven't stopped reading it since, resulting in finishing the piece within a matter of hours! I was completely unable to put it down, and the twists and turns kept that juice rolling in! Your writing is special and amazing, so please keep going!

The fighter of Aldea is a thought provoking book which allows readers to rethink their actions now before the future is harmed. It teaches one what strength is. It teaches one that with the support of true friends you can be unstoppable. Most importantly it teaches you that hope and having faith is a powerful and majestic thing.
The quality of writing was amazing. I was transported to a place called Aldea from my very bedroom. From the beginning to the end I was captivated because creativity and the writing skills were on point. The writing actually took this story and turned it into something extraordinary. Anyone can write but not everyone can show real quality as this.
Kira I absolutely enjoyed reading this enthralling story and I must say you are blessed with an amazing ability to transport mortals like myself to places unimaginable.

I have only read the first five chapters, and yet I am entranced by Lydia's story. This is great for a beginning author. ★★★★★
What Others Are Saying:
Loved it. It was so exciting that I didn’t want to put it down!
Very unique and totally original. One often thinks that mankind is very advanced in the future, but in The Fighter of Aldea? Quite the contrary. We have run out of power, and that is actually a very intriguing plot by itself.
Even when there was no action, my eyes were glued to the page.
I like Lydia. Her determination. Her personality. A realistic character makes for an admirable heroin.
Most novels these days are littered with depressing content, and seeing a very optimistic, cheerful and motivating character comes as a breath of fresh air. I really loved that optimistic side of Lydia.
Captivated from beginning to end.
The author’s writing style makes for a great read.
